114 || FASHION MAGAZINE || NOVEMBER 2014A self-taught photographer residing on the East Coast of Australia, Katriena was born and grew up in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago.She began photography as a hobby in 2009 and by 2011 she decided to resign from her paralegal job to pursue photography full time. Specializing in portraiture, beauty, and fashion editorial photography, Katriena creatively directs most of the shoots. She says, %u201cFor me personally I always like to tell a visual story, whether it be conceptual or something that has more meaning and purpose behind the imagery.%u201dShe has been published in several magazines both locally in Australia and overseas including: Peppermint magazine (Australia); Glassbook (Canada); Vatra (Australia); Ellements Magazine (NYC) and Lone Wolf Magazine (Canada)
