The biggest surprises from the show was the ability to self-assess, viewing myself work on different challenges %u2014 that was an immense learning and growing experience. Post winning Project Runway, the value of my clients%u2019 prior investments in my pieces has soared in their eyes; my brand took a place on the table amongst nationally recognized labels.If you could have any celebrity spokesmodel, to wear your design, who would it be? We would need to bring Joan Rivers back to life. As Fashion Police%u2019s queen on the throne, she may send me to jail here and there but for the most part my brand would be make her hear-contempt from the living %u2014 Sophia Loren or Monica Bellucci.How important is Fashion Week for you?I don%u2019t participate because my sales are not generated from that market. I do encourage up-and-coming designers to explore those avenues.Tell us about your upcoming collections. How far ahead of time do you start on a collection?The new collection is called Zenith & Nadir - I%u2019m working on wardrobe that starts from the top at the head-piece down to the gown. Color palette: from light metallic to Smokey tones.
