There are three parts to the Games. The parts whittle down the athletes from the Open stage which is athletes from around the world, then regionals and then the Cross Fit Games in California. From thousands and thousands of athletes the Games are designed to establish the most fit man and woman. At the time of this writing we are able to share with you that on her rookie outing she finished, impressively, as the fourth most fit woman in her category, just two points shy of sharing a podium. This is impressive as her first participation in the CrossFit Games. Sandy has so many adventures that it%u2019s hard to decide which to focus on. She is only one of two American Women to climb the Seven Summits. And she has more mountains she still wants to climb (literally).Sandy is strong, tough, a force. As an athlete she talks with us about female athletes pre Title IX. But growing up before Title IX does not seem to have limited her. This woman is an athlete. She is also an author and contributor to several major magazines. Her journals are captivating as she describes in detail her athletic adventures. Mountain traveler, CrossFit competitor, author, rancher, and entertainer, it is clear that Ms. Hill loves a challenge in many flavors and conquers them all. One of her books, Mountain her personal tribute to mountains, filled with black and white and color photographs, 7 short essays, and peoples%u2019 experiences with their own mountains. But this coffee table book comes naturally to her as an art history major.Sandy shared with us her journeys in the fitness world and how she stays focused and motivated. With such a wide variety of talents we know she will be sweating to something new very soon. >>>
