Based in Scotland, 21 year old Jodie Mann reveals that above all she is a “creative and visual storyteller.” Working as a professional photographer, make-up artist, and retoucher Jodie specializes in creative fashion, conceptual, and beauty imagery. She has over four and a half years of experience in the field working with talent such as actors, hairstylists, bespoke fashion designers, magazines, galleries, local bands, and independent musicians. Living and working in some of Scotland’s most sought after areas for TV/film and photography provides her with an endless flow of creative inspiration. She was drawn to the unique culture and arts scene as well as the incomparable landscape of Scotland, which prompted her to leave school in 2011 and open her own photography business in her hometown of Grantown-on-Spey. Jodie has dedicated these past years to refining her craft, learning the art of photography and makeup, and creating an exhibition of collaborative work with a digital illustrator. She divulges that, “To see something unexpected, striking, and almost mysterious is something that really enthralls me and gives me the best ideas,” and her motivation and drive comes from the desire to achieve something remarkable, “that I am proud to display to the world.” She is obviously in the right place as she has already produced amazing work and continues to work alongside some of the best talent Scotland has to offer.
